Description:
Zurek is an on line start-up by Ben Coates, Peter Throne, Andrzej Bartas and Brad Lawson. We started Zurek as a brand name for any venture we do this site. We are mainly involved in Computing based projects at the moment such as Sernik which is a project which hopefully will help increase exposure and support of free and open source software in particular Gimp, OpenOffice.org, Firefox/Thunderbird, Nvu and various Linux distributions. Serniks long term goal is to help in making the above products more mainstream in particular to the the average user. We also are currently looking at running a regular disco in Hobart at possibly the Polish Club. These two current projects give you and idea of the versatility of Zurek and the roads we can take it in particular in the IT area.
