Global gathering - StandUp - IYPF looking to play a key role

Excellent news,
After only a few short days of promoting the IYPF global gathering for
StandUp we have seen active interest in hosting events to bring together
IYPF members and young professionals from over 20 countries including
Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cameroon, Ghana, India,
Ireland, Pakistan, Kenya, Nigeria, Nepal, Peru, Philippines, Sierra
Leone, South Korea, Tanzania, Uganda, UK, United States, and Zimbabwe.
As a result we are now seriously looking at whether IYPF could be one of
the largest and most distributed centrally-organised contributors of
events to the global StandUp campaign. We feel that if we were to get up
to the 40 to 50 mark of total events, that would allow IYPF to really
stand out (currently there are no more than 200 events listed on the
StandUp web site).
So we want to get everyone behind this new goal. Not only will our
efforts be attracting attention to a very worthy issue, poverty
alleviation & the MDG's. But for IYPF it's good promotion and it points
us in a direction where laying down physical roots and networks in a
range of different countries is only a step away.
