Dear friends,
In the attachement you will find the training course that will take place in march 2007 in england. Please read through and discuss among your groups if you would like to be partners at the project.
As the new youth in action programme is based on european citizenship and active youth partecipation it's essential that at least one of the young voices joins this TC to report the others later.
On 1st january 2007 a new 885 million euros heavy Youth in action programme is starting among member states and other partner countries. Due to the leak of support from the local communities and a new concept of EU founding, the youth exchanges we organise will need special knowledge fundaments to get accepted.
Most probably I will present the new programme on the HOM this weekend, but the deadline for this project is 1st november.
Please let me know if anyone will apply.
The attachements are on the two links at the beginning of the message.
Cheers,
Jan Peloza,
Young Voices Slovenia

Project Summary:
This project is aimed at educating & promoting the European Values on Citizenship and Democracy, while considering the impact of globalisation and consuming behaviour in Youth Workers- / youngsters- life. As Youth Workers we have the responsibility to continue to adapt and educate ourselves about 'our' changing Europe, and most of all, to act as active multipliers towards our environment and in our engagements towards youngsters. At the end of the training, the participants have the insight to become responsible citizens and the tools to involve their colleagues and youngsters in this process as multipliers.
Concretely in Brief our AIM is.
To bring participants of different European realities together and while exploring concepts of consumerism, citizenship and globalisation, linking their local work and engagement to different ways of action and social intervention by using the different tools and instruments offered during the training.
CONCRETE OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the training, participants will:
* know each other, each others' organisation and have explored each others' culture through interacting with each other and through exchange of information.
* have knowledge on what the YOUTH Programme is and how to use this Program as a tool in their own daily reality.
* understand the concept of cultural diversity, within "European" and "Mundial" context.
* have explored the concepts and the relation between consumerism-citizenship-globalisation within themselves and of their youngsters.
* have received handouts (CD Rom) and know how to access and use different information resources.
* have had the chance to initiate future cooperation amongst themselves.
The Trainers will be Jo Claeys and Anita Silva.
