  INTRODUCTION AND INVITATION
TO JOIN HANDS
 
 
 
Dear Sir/Madam,
 
On behalf of the International Peace Commission I herby invite you to join hands with us as a Partner Organization/Individual member for the sake of mankind.
 
We are pleased to apprise you briefly about the INTERNATIONAL PEACE COMMISSION-IPC, established for the service of Humanity without discrimination of Caste, Color or Creed.  We uphold the Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations, December 10, 1948.
 
The role of IPC is to bring together a wide range of Civil Society Organizations from    International to local levels, to consolidate and strengthen the disarmament and peace efforts of organizations and individuals around the world.
 
The main focus of our work is Human Rights, Peace Keeping and Disarmament, Social Development, Education, NGO Networks, Environment, Youth, Health, Women Empowerment, Media and Democratization.
 
We have been accredited by the United Nations Department for Disarmament Affairs (UNDDA) to attend the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) to negotiate an international instrument to enable States to identify and trace, in a timely and reliable manner, illicit small arms and light weapons. The first substantive session was the 14th to 25 th, June 2004. The United Nations Second Biennial Meeting of States on Small Arms and Program of Action, was 11th to 15th, July 2005, with the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) 2006 held at UN Headquarters, in New York 9th to 20th, January 2006.
 
IPC is an Associate member of "Conference of NGO (CONGO)" in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations Organization (UNO).
 
IPC is working in collaboration with the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) as a Network Member against small arms trade and having Partnership /Collaboration with more than 100 International Non Governmental Organizations.
 
In Pakistan IPC has also collaborate with PMU, ECP, UNDP in disseminating the code of conduct for contesting candidates of local governments, elections 2005 at the Union Council level and submitted suggestions/reports to improve the participation of all citizens particularly women and excluded minority communities in electoral process.
 
The monitoring of Local Governments Elections-2005 in Pakistan was conducted by a team of International observers of the international Peace Commission. IPC prepared a preliminary and comprehensive report on the overall election proceedings.
 
We work with groups from a variety of backgrounds, including youth, women, labor, education, environment, human rights, religious and professional bodies to support non-violent conflict resolutions and works towards a sustainable culture of PEACE
 
The IPC has been struggling against the violations of human rights, bloodshed, and terrorism around the world and is also providing its services for the noble cause of maintaining peace, removing and resolving disputes between nations, groups and organizations.
 
In this context, the International Peace Commission will be playing a vital role as a peace hub in Africa and also creating a peaceful World for all, living in African countries without any discrimination of color, caste or creed.
 
The Mission of the International Peace Commission:
 
a.                   Facilitate the creation of cooperative networks and economic development programs enlisting and involving financial institutions, traditional and alternative energy producers, private enterprises, diplomatic representations, universities, governmental bodies and other concerned parties;
 
b.                  Promote peace, health, equality, human rights, economic development and educational access in developing nations, especially within the territory of the Organization's Participating States;
 
c.                    Broaden the understanding of sustainable economic development and promote the implementation and dissemination of norms, rules and guidelines that apply to this field;
 
d.                  Assist developing nations by identifying and retaining businessmen, professionals and scholars willing to act as pro-bono economic advisers to their diplomatic and consular network;
 
 
e.                   Develop, establish and maintain   'Sister' relationships with institutions and like minded organizations located in high GNP countries and IPC Participating States and Nations;
 
f.                     Strengthen and support a Participating State or Nation's capacity to engage in Sustainable Development through educational access, relief programs, ecological and bioethical reflection and action, while taking into consideration the traditional social and cultural values of each Nation; 
 
 
In order to accomplish the foregoing objectives, the Organization may engage in the following types of activities:
 
a.         Develop networks globally in the sphere of economic, ecological, educational and bioethical reflection and actions;
 
 
b.         Establish, collect, maintain and share Statistical and Demographic Data and Information Services;
 
 
c.         Provide advice, guidance, direct action and support in regards to issues pertaining to the field of and implementation of Sustainable Development   and Peace,
 
d.         Encourage peace and disarmament education, research and the dissemination of research findings within the Organization's sphere of influence and globally;
 
e.         Organize and facilitate conferences, seminars and educational programs dealing with sustainable economic development, gender equality, environmental and corporate social responsibility, education access, peace, disarmament, bioethics and human rights,
 
 
f.          Engage in other activities related to the furthering or obtaining of the goals, objectives and Mission of the Organization, as the need arises.
 
 I also would like you to know that IPC is planning to have First International Peace Conference on Africa . proposed to be held on Dec 2009 at UNEP HQ ,Kenya.
