Hello everyone

Though my contributions have been quite slow, I must commend the success of this dialogue. The dialogue has indeed been successful. I congratulate all women all over the world for the creation of an initiative of this nature.



My contribution on action plan needed to break the barriers depriving young from ICT participation are as follows:

ADVOCACY AND EVEN DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION

At the initial stage of this dialogue, I pointed out Unawareness of information revolution as one factor that disables young women participation in ICT. Information is a necessity for the general advancement of human life. Today information has caused an apparent revolution that is of immense benefit worldwide. A lot of persons are beneficiaries today. It is even as a result of this that a dialogue of this nature can hold. A lot of young women are not privileged to know this, how then can they participate. Personally I never had a slight thought of the much revolution information has created in the world today. However my knowledge on this has created a desire to get involved. To get other young women involved much advocacy and even dissemination of information has to be done.

This can be achieved through holding seminars, workshops and symposiums to inform them on information revolution. Achieving these would involve working with youth friendly organization.

EFFCTIVE NETWORKING

This is very necessary to involve young women in ict participation. Engaging these youth friendly organizations and equally create an effective networking system between them will help achieve the goal. Each organization should be able to relate effectively with each other on progress or problems encountered and eventually relate to the organizing body.

EFFECTIVE MONITORING

This point takes me back to a sentence I read in one of the posted messages to me, it reads thus:
