The youths for change Christian movement Inc, strengths-based services for homeless, abused, and abandoned youth help them develop the interpersonal and concrete skills necessary for success in order to enter young adulthood as productive members of the community. Our expertise is in serving adolescents without families - a vulnerable and often overlooked population who have few other options in life and who will soon need to make it on their own. What we teach them now, through our Godly relationships, role modeling, and other interactions, will impact the rest of their lives and will influence how they interact with the larger society. The Movement's programs center around four primary populations – Runaway and Homeless Youth, Teen Parents, Families, and Youth Transitioning from the child protection system to independent living – and offer participants the essential combination of promoting youth leadership and other developmental assets, educational and emotional mentoring or coaching, and life skills training.

The youths for change Christian movement Inc, mission is to empower youth who are homeless, abandoned, abused, or at-risk to lead healthy, productive lives.

We are committed to creating an environment where all youth can grow, thrive, make choices, and become valued, contributing members of society.
History
The youths for change Christian movement Inc. was established on June 2008 by a Nigerian young adult called John E. Etim who is committed to providing shelter to runaway and homeless youth. He formed a volunteer Board of Directors and incorporated Youths for change Christian movement as a private, non-profit organization.

The youths for change Christian movement’s goal is to promote the healthy development of youth who have very few of the resources needed to grow up in this world. We believe that all youth deserve a chance to discover and put to use their inherent strengths and talents in order to become successful, contributing adults someday. Our approach is to promote positive, healthy adolescent development by fostering responsibility, resiliency, and respect for self and others.
These Movement (YCCM) Provides seminars and symposiums to create awareness about contemporary issues facing the youths in their communities.
OUR MISSION
Youth for Change Christian Movement Inc. (YCCM) exists to promote the health, education, cultural and professional development of low-income children, youths and families worldwide, especially in (Nigeria) Africa through comprehensive support services.

Our vision is to make YCCM the model for providing innovative and comprehensive support for youth and for instilling in youth the skills which will make them financially independent. To build a bridge between the rich and the poor, the developed and under developed countries and finally, to help create a better world where true peace and Value excel.

The founder understand that freedom of expression is fundamental to any intellectual community and affirms that all members YCCM community will have the freedom to express any opinion without any fear of reprisals of any kind.

OUR MODEL
• Our model is to establish programs which will provide youth the skills and support they need to reach their career goals.
• We partner with schools and training institutions to assure that youth are academically prepared and oriented about the programs and services provided by Youth for Change Christian Movement Inc.
• We partner with the community to ensure that youth who need the services are reached and referred to our programs.
• We partner with businesses to exchange knowledge and information about the skills and training which are needed for their labor force and to increase their global network distribution.
• We raise awareness about social and community issues. We also provide support for activities and programs which promote health and welfare, education, sports and the arts.
• We believe in “strength in numbers” and partner and collaborate with organizations to leverage and pool resources, raise awareness and conduct fundraising.
• Beginning in August 2008, we will begin to accept applications from youth who desire to enroll in our programs.
• Our goal is to organize and coordinate 1-3 fundraising events per year to support our program activities.

GOVERNANCE OF THE MOVEMENT

THE GOVERNING BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND THE ADMINISTRATION
The Board of Trustees is the highest authority of the movement. The chief executive officer is the President, who is in charge of the Day-Day management of the movement. The President is assisted by three vice presidents: The Vice president for movement Relations, The Vice president for Finance and Administration, Vice president Partnership affairs.

Your support is what enables the Youths for change Christian movement Inc to provide Nigerian at-risk young people with the skills, training, mentoring and other resources they need in order to transition into a healthy and productive adulthood.
You can help as a volunteer – be a mentor, share a skill or assist with fundraising.

• You can join the YOUTHS FOR CHANGE CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT.INC (“EDUCATION SPONSORSHIP GROUP”) to help the African students. You can help put a textbook in the hands of a student in Africa or even in the sponsoring a less privilege child through school.

• You can help financially, as well as basic nutrition and clothing. YOUR donations make the difference between merely providing our kids with an existence, and providing them a home, with recreation, positive lifestyle activities,
