Dear Joya,
Have you had a chance to review the submission of proposals in regards to
the 2nd International Conference on ICT for Development Education and
training, Nairobi, Kenya.
We can submit a submission proposal for in the Best Practice Showcase. The
eLA 2007 addresses nineteen themes, covering all aspects of technology
enhanced education and training. The eLA theme that I propose we send in a
submission of Proposal is (elearning in Medical Education and the fight
against HIV and AIDS), focusing on a youth perspective.
The format of these sessions is that those selected are invited to take part
in a specific 90 or 60 minute session (each session to include between 5 and
8 courses). During this session they will be invited to give a maximum 5
minute introduction if their course but simply a description of its
background and subject area). If we come to an agreement of sending a
proposal I would review that e-courses that we offer and choose the most
successful within registration, completion rate and follow-up of progress
within the implementation of funding proposals to starting a youth HIV/AIDS
project within a community setting.
We can enlist the help of RFP in Africa, that may be able to take the lead
of this project and I can help out with the research, writing up of the
proposal etc.
This is a suggestion, we may not want to participate within the conference.
I would really like to get your opinion. Janet-Thanks, I am really
interested in the opportunities of the conference, and I will try to get
funding to attend the conference, if not at least send in programme
suggestions focusing on youth.
