Sujet: Week Three Discussion: Achieving a consensus on common goals

Towards the end of the Youth Open House participants explored the possibility of
building a youth network in North America. The Next Steps session, though
brief, provided participants with an opportunity to engage in such a discussion
about what a youth network would look like in North America.

Since organizations and individuals represent a broad spectrum of interests and
agendas, one key challenge in building such a network entails identifying
priorities and achieving a consensus on common goals, despite disagreements on
ideals and/or priorities. With that in mind, this week's discussion will focus
on how organizations, who have different mandates and objectives, come to
identify common goals.

Please share your experience and/or ideas in building a consensus towards a
common goal among different stakeholders. Please share best practices and
lessons learned.
