Dear All, Welcome to the Youth Open House Group site! Thank you for joining this group and many thanks to TakingITGlobal for hosting this. The Youth Open House, held at World Bank Headquarters in Washington D.C., June 11-12 convened youth from across Canada and the U.S. to engage in a dialogue with each other and World Bank staff around common challenges in the effort to create an equitable and sustainable future for all. The open house is a first step to longer term collaboration between youth in Canada and the US and the World Bank. Thank you for taking the time to come to the conference and sharing your ideas. It was your participation and energy that made it a success! The purpose of this page is two-fold. First, to continue the discussion initiated at the conference and second, to inform and invite others who were not able to participate in the conference, to join the discussion. To achieve this, we will post the convener notes and audio files of the conference on this page and encourage you to invite your friends and colleagues, interested in youth participation in development, to join this group. While we have received most of the convener notes, we are still waiting on a few more. Therefore, the report and the audio files will be posted Tuesday, June 26th by Noon (EST). If you have not submitted your notes, please send them to us by this Friday, June 22nd COB, otherwise it will not be included in the YOH! Breakout Session Report. We will also propose a topic for discussion once these have been posted. Also, in case you are interested, the pictures of the YOH! have been posted. To view them, please click on the photos tab. Please feel free to upload your YOH! photos as well (don't forget to add your captions!). In the meantime, enjoy the photos and stay tuned. We look forward to being in touch with you next week! Sincerely, Mitty & Maja
