Description:
University-Community Partnership for Social Action Research Network (UCP-SARnet) invites the collaboration of students, teachers, community activists, business professionals, and government officials worldwide to become involved in achieving the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (UN MDGs).

UCP-SARnet is an online resource hub that allows members to easily find and publish materials for education, community engagement, and personal empowerment. UCP-SARnet offers community related courses for both college students and professionals needing continuing educational training. These courses increase multicultural awareness of students and our personalized "Global Volunteering Match" offers them additional opportunities to develop global perspectives on community issues.

UCP-SARnet promotes engagement of its members with local communities. Our Regional Coordinators represent UCP-SARnet in their respective regions and are ambassadors of that region within our global network. UCP-SARnet also supports projects that both address local community needs and create effective solutions for global issues. One exciting example is the Gandhi College for Social Work in India.

Our presence on TakingITGlobal is meant to spread the word about the opportunities for civic involvement offered on our network. UCP-SARnet aspires to attract individuals of all backgrounds, and community organizations may collaborate with our network as either Member Organizations or Knowledge Partners. We also invite corporate entities seeking a global or local opportunity to implement the principle of “Corporate Social Responsibility” by sponsoring our network’s activities and efforts.

We encourage you to share UCP-SARnet’s vision, mission and opportunities with your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and associates. Most importantly, we invite you to JOIN our global community and contribute to educating, engaging, and empowering communities and leaders worldwide.
