The United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP) will be hosting the National Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Summit for Young Filipinos on October 23-26, 2007 in Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental with the theme “B.I.L.I.B. Young Leaders: Stand Up, Move, Lead!” B.I.L.I.B refers to Believe, Innovate, Lead, Inspire and Build. The summit will be participated by the different academic schools throughout the Visayas and aims to enrich the skills of leaders to become better models of the youth and transformed servant-leaders of the country; also, foster youth empowerment towards advocating the millennium development goals (M.D.G.’s) in their respective institutions as well as in their local city through manifestation of effective leadership principles, attitudes and skills gained from the summit.
