Subject: Week 3 -- Midweek update!
Sent: Mar 31st, 2005 - 11:36:52

  Hi everyone,

Excellent participation this week in the discussions, I'm very impressed!
But let's try to ramp up the photoblogs. Giving the topic this week's topic
quite a bit of thought will make it much easier for next week--possibly the
most interesting, where we're going to ask you to design your ideal
classroom. So really, really think hard this week about how you like to
learn, both in and out of school.

Also, I posted this on the discussions, but I'll repeat it here so everyone
sees it... A couple people have asked about the audience you're presenting
to, and this is my response:

" Just to let you all know, the NECC website is http://www.iste.org/necc/

These are the teachers/officials we will be presenting these outcomes to.
They're 10,000 or so people who are very interested in technology, and how
it can be used to improve education. They may or may not have an interest in
the student perspective, but we can hope that they do--the whole conference
is structured around it (this year's theme is "student voices").

However, I think there is (and I imagine you'll agree) a large need for this
kind of information outside of Canada/the US... Do you all have any ideas
how we could take our final report/presentation for the project and bring it
to the people around the world who need to hear? Or how you can each take
some action on your own?"

Thanks, and I hope this helps! I look forward to seeing MANY blog posts in
the next few days!!

Luke
