Eleven special needs youths will experience entrepreneurship for the first time in their lives. Many of the students never heard the word entrepreneur. Eighty percent of these students cannot read or write. These students will be introduced to a new curriculum called R U Ready 4 BIZness it teaches individuals hands-on how to develop, research, promote, and launch a product or service. These students are dealing with many challenges due to their cognitive impairments and disabilities; in addition they will be trying to comprehend the logistics of business for the first time. These students will have the opportunity to experience the hurdles and obstacles of starting a business, yet they have to learn to work together as team to overcome them.
