Aah, "freedom"!! Some folks - out here anyway, down south - wear it on their
sleeves, like they are entitled to something!! Let me, quickly, give you some
"freedom", and then later give you more!!

penned 29 December 2003, tired, once again, of stereotypes of all types! These
words could have been a response to the irritation at those so-called official
forms one has to fill in – with the excuse that the ‘race’parts are for research
purposes only. I usually draw my own little block on the form, marking it ‘human
being’(quite apart from the other block I draw next to ‘religion’, in which to
tick off ‘atheist’.
This piece could also have been triggered off (or compounded!) by my
exasperating some folk at ‘work’ (at the youth development NGO Resource Action
Group - RAG, and most likely everywhere else!) by signing something with my red
or pink pen instead of with a black or blue pen. I might even have sarcastically
(or subversively) asked whether it was okay to sign with my left hand! Yes, I
suppose us lefties would seem to be strange characters to you and yours!
