PAMOJA YOUTH FOUNDATION.
This is a youth organisation based in Kibera slum.Our commitment is to bring positive changes to this slum.
VISION
To change the lives of youth positively.
MISSION
To better the talents that are in youth.
To create an environment where youth can participate in decion making.
To improve environment condition by planting trees.
BACKGROUND.
This organisation was formed 24/11/2006.The main aim was to unite and empower youth for the purpose of development. The group currently has 46 registered members, of which 24 are gents and 22 are ladies.
ACTVITIES.
Tree planting.
We are planting trees in public institutions for the purpose of conserving the environment. We have manage to plant 2534 trees within three months. Also are doing community clean-ups in Kibera.
ART, THEATRE AND MUSIC
We have acrobats for junior taem,drama crew and traditional dances.
SPORTS
P.Y.F. has football team for both girls and boys aged 10-16 years old.We also have basketball team.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT.
We are very much committed to fight for equal rights and justice for all.We are compaign for youth representative in political and socio-economical matters.
As youth we have realised the benefit of ICT in human life, and we call it a human right. We are coming up with ICT centre in this slum. For this reason we are calling upon well wisher to come and help us.
Gender equality is our top agenda, are compaign for equall participation.
YOUNG MOTHERS.
Thaes are girls who conceive at the early stage in life. The community does not consider them as equal with others. We have a back to school, vocational trainings aconomical programmes for them.
