*1 .Policy and institutional coherence and partnerships

Policy and institutional coherence on migration and development within
Government- Does you country have a Migration Policy? Which mechanisms have proven most effective in promoting policy coherence? What are some concrete examples of effective inclusion of migration into national development plans and poverty reduction strategies?*

Ans:

In case my country has a migration policy then I’m not aware of it. But I think for migration policy to work, then both developed countries which is mostly the host country and developing countries need to work together to have a common policy or should have complimentary policies, then I believe it can work effectively.

*2. Improving the impact of remittances *
*What are some of the national strategies for improving financial
institutions and enhancing understanding of the rural markets in your
country to promote the positive impacts of migrant remittances?
*
Ans:
Private institutions over the years encourage migrant remittances to Ghana, such as Western Union through which you can send money for school fees etc, Databank has an investment account Epack, Ghana Commercial bank has foreign account for those abroad to put money in and when you come back home you can access and Barclays Bank the same. Recently the government also raised government bond on the international market which I see as encouraging more Ghanaians abroad to invest in the country.

Besides these, there is no other ways I know.
