Project Metta Heart is a new cultural
immersion cum community involvement programme organised by the Singapore Buddhist Lodge Welfare Foundation.
This project's focus is in Central Java, Indonesia. In the spirit of Gotong Royong, participants are expected to assist the local community in refurbishment work (e.g. painting of school). They will also organise interactive teaching sessions for school children. In addition, the home stay programme allows participants to be fully immersed in Javanese culture and lifestyle.

UPDATE 1:
Our first pre-trip session will be on 3 Feb, Sat. You will usher guests and assist the elderly who are coming for the Hong Bao Distribution Ceremony. Please come to The Singapore Buddhist Lodge (SBL) at 0900hr. (Dress Code: White tee or polo shirt, Dark coloured pants or jeans)

Please note the dates of the following Sundays - 4 Feb, 11 Feb and 25 Feb. We will be raising funds for the project by setting up a stall to sell T-shirts, shoes and other assorted items at SBL. Here are the two time slots available for you to choose from:

0800 – 1300hr (max. 3 pax)

1200 – 1700hr (max. 3 pax)

The date for the team-building retreat will be confirmed later.
