In the interests of good treatment and social solidarity in global development, the International Caribbean Institute known as ICI was established on 6 July 2008, marking the International Day of Cooperatives.
It is a non-profit, development aid, which involves a new future, hope, rebirth, the inspiration of human values, sovereignty, moral and social consciousness of citizenship, the sole responsibility of each of us, good governance, the upgrading of human capital, creating a different environment, a provision effective for solidarity and equity, respect for human rights, progress, dignity, brotherly love, search of good for the participatory development for a world within and prosperous.
The rationale for essential ICI is working to promote the philosophy of solidarity as an social, moral, educational, spiritual, economic, cultural and health.

En interés del buen trato y la solidaridad social en el desarrollo mundial, el Instituto Internacional de Caribbean conocido como ICI se estableció el 6 de julio de 2008, que marca el Día Internacional de las Cooperativas.
