Description:
The Messengers of Truth Initiative was launched in September 2004 during the 2nd World Urban Forum in Barcelona. The launch consisted of a Hip-Hop Encounter, Summit and Concert. Its purpose was to mobilize socially committed Hip-Hop artists, youth groups, the media and representatives of the music industry from Africa, Europe and the Americas to raise awareness of the Millennium Development Goals.

After the great concerts and talks of and with the MOTs at the WUYF in Nanjiing i want to build up a kind of community where we, the youth, can suggest our messengers of truth. So if you know a musician from your home country which is "your" messenger of truth please let me know. We will create a list of potential MOTs and pass them to the UN Habitat.
