In Uganda, 1.8 million Orphans have lost one or both parents to due to HIV/AIDS.rnAbout 100,000 children under the age of 15 are living with HIV/AIDS.rnrnAIDS is the 6th leading cause of death for persons between 15-25 years of age. By 2010, one of every four children in Uganda will be Orphans.\\r\\n\\r\\nDeath due to HIV/AIDS is 80,000 people annually. rn135,000 Ugandans get infected every year.rnrnInfected children are some stigmatized, discriminated against, marginalized and abandoned. rnHIV/AIDS Orphans Empowerment Through Education project aims at increasing the Literacy level of these Orphans from 41.4 to 78 percent of ages between 3-6 through teaching and they are 64 in number.Some of the subjects which are being taught are basic English, Mathematics Physical Education, writing, reading of the alphabetic, writing , drawings and shading , some music , dance and drama, sports and poems which interests young children.This is done with the help and support of Volunteers from abroad and within Uganda.
