Description:
Climate change the single most potent phenomenon changing the way in which the human race understands civilization will, if unchecked, wreak havoc amongst those who will inherit this planet – the youth of today. As such, the realities, thoughts, ideas and aspirations of youth should play a critical and crucial role in charting any climate control policy that affects the future. However, over the last few years when the climate debate reached super-star status amongst global policy makers and plan implementers, the voice of youth has been largely ignored. Although this situation contravenes almost all umbrella policies that insist on youth participation in policy planning, there has been an increasing groundswell to include youth participation in these exercises.
International Network of Young Climate Policy Makers is a loose-knit coalition amongst the most transparent and active amongst these individuals and groups from all major geographic areas of the planet.
