Greetings from Global Youth Connect!
First, to all who received our announcement in August, many thanks for helping to get the word out about the GYC Winter delegation to Rwanda. We received sixty applications for fifteen slots, and we are deeply grateful for your continued efforts to help ensure that GYC remains a resource for young activists ready to work for both local and global change, through cross-cultural human rights education, advocacy and action in Rwanda, and other parts of the world.
Today, we are writing to ask for your assistance in sharing information regarding our Summer 2010 International Human Rights training program in Bosnia, which will have an early admissions process this year.
The announcement is below, and we would be grateful if you could share this with young leaders (ages 18-30) in your network who may be interested in participating in this human rights delegation to Bosnia led by Miki Jacevic, one of GYC's co-founders and the Bosnia Program Director since 2005.
Brief information on the program can be found below and more detailed application information is available on our website at: www.globalyouthconnect. org/participate.
The deadline to receive applications is January 10, 2010 (5pm EST), but we are adding a rolling admissions policy until December 20 for up to half of the delegation slots.
In case you are receiving this for the first time, Global Youth Connect is an international human rights organization which is building and supporting a community of youth who are actively promoting and protecting human rights, and educating and inspiring the next generation to work for peaceful change. We have been organizing international human rights delegations since 2001. More info is available at www.globalyouthconnect.org.
We greatly appreciate your help in making sure we get the word out to talented and motivated young leaders who might be interested in this unique international opportunity for learning, service and connection for human rights, conflict resolution and peace-building.
Sincerely,
Jesse Hawkes

Application Deadline: January 10, 2010 with rolling admissions until December 20 for up to half of the delegation.
GYC's human rights delegations are a unique, first-hand opportunity to cross cultural boundaries and learn about the daily reality of human rights as experienced in a complex and increasingly globalized world. Each delegation weaves together three core sets of activities: a human rights training workshop with local youth activists, site visits to local organizations, and hands-on fieldwork projects.
