IYLC members work with the staff of the International Division to increase support for young peoples sexual and reproductive health, especially for international family planning and the fight against global HIV and AIDS, by organizing campus events, utilizing online and traditional media outlets, developing educational workshops, attending conferences, and lobbying policy makers at the national and international level. To be eligible for the IYLC you must: Be an undergraduate student in the Washington, DC area Be willing to commit 20 hours a month to council activities Be able to attend the Urban Retreat, a three-day long training which will take place the evening of Thursday, September 10 through Monday, September 14 Support the mission of Advocates for Youth Council members receive monthly stipends of $200 for their work.
