As part of our commitments to accelerated call for a national legislation to prevent vulnerable youth in Ghana from cyber crime, GYAN-Ghana in collaboration with Ghana Media Advocacy Programme (G-MAP) and HORIZON Media with support from the National Youth Council and British Council is organizing a one-day national youth dialogue forum as a platform for youth groups across the country to dialogue with stakeholders on youth engagement in developing effective national plans and strategies to uproot internet-based fraud through a youth-led advocacy efforts. Date: 18th June, 2009 Time: 10: am – 12:00pm Venue: GNAT, Bediako Hall The outcome of a GYAN Ghana led research and media publications have cited out-of-school youth and in-school youth mostly from the Senior High and Junior High Schools as the majority of active perpetrators and vulnerable group in this menace. It is against this backdrop that GYAN Ghana extends this invitation to members of the network to participate in this very important forum. Participants are expected to deliberate and share experiences to inform a Youth Declaration against Internet fraud which shall be used to advocate for a national legislation on internet based fraud.
