There are moments in life when tragedies could strike and the hands of fate could go against one’s favor. Such times can not be predetermined but when they do occur one would need the supportive words and goodwill of friends to be able to find meaning to life again. With the valuable words of one’s dear friends, a gloomy day could become bright and seem just like a passing phase in one’s life.

When I encountered tragedy some years ago, when I lost my Aunt and two years after that, I also lost two of my Uncles. I felt really devastated and heart-broken. The question I could only ask myself was, “Why me; Why did these tragedies have to come my way; Why my family?”

It was really helpful and valuable to draw upon the useful experiences and valuable advice of friends and relatives around me, most of whom had seen worse tragedies than me in life. Their presence and words made the whole tragedy seem like a passing phase in life. It is very supportive and encouraging to really talk to; and discuss with somebody who cares and understands the pain and sorrow one is going through at such moment in life.

Sometimes I am amazed at how; just talking a problem over with a friend could really relieve my mind of its sorrow, pain or tragedy.

Objectives:
A platform to discuss some of our past sorrows, pains or tragedies in some worst moments of life;
Discuss some of these experiences;
To learn from each other and to share experiences with each other on how we overcame our pains, tragedies or sorrows;
To be able to compare the experiences of pains and tragedies experienced by different people;
Draw emotional support and Learn to cope with pains, tragedies and sorrows from the experiences of people.

If you are not comfortable with names, you could use pseudo (make-up) names, to tell your story.
Ensure that you protect your privacy!.
The idea behind this group is to draw strength from our experiences and give emotional support to people, who might be going through a similar ordeal in life.
