Description:
The Mexico City YouthForce’s Advocacy Taskforce will undertake its e-consultation for AIDS 2008 from March 3- 21, 2008. The e-consultation seeks to gather recommendations for the MYF’s advocacy message, strategy, and materials from both young people who will and will not be attending the conference. Participants will also be asked to consult with their peers who do not have access to internet to include their opinions on what issues need to be included. The e-consultation will result in a concrete advocacy messages and strategy that young people can use effectively to hold their governments and other decision-makers accountable to commitments they have already made and to encourage them to do even more to create, implement, and fund effective HIV/AIDS interventions for youth. The advocacy messages will form the basis of a youth visibility campaign with posters, stickers, t-shirts, conference sessions, and pre-conference advocacy training.

Instructions:
Questions will be posted at the start of each week to facilitate discussion. Participants can post in English or Spanish. Weekly summaries will be posted at the beginning of each week in English and Spanish, and the final report will be posted within three weeks of the end of the e-consultation.

For questions please contact the Co-Chairs of the YouthForce Advocacy Subcommittee: Kathy Wollner (kathyw@advocatesforyouth.org) or Joya Banerjee (joya@youthaidscoalition.org)
