This congress is being organised within the franework of the Strategy for the revitalisation of the PYU. You should be informed that the Pan African Youth Union is the recognised coordinating body for youth activities in Africa. Its membership includes: National Youth Councils, Regional and National Youth Coordinating bodies and until recently Ministries in charge of youth. This current congress will consider the reviewed statues of the PYU, elect new executive and put in place a new Rules of procedure. It is my understanding that the AU Commission has sent note verbales to your respective countries to send a delegation to this meeting. However, maybe your country has not sent representatives names already, it will be nice for each of you to contact your respective youth ministries and to follow-up to ensure that your country is represented at the congress.
