	Hi everyone, I just wanted to let y'all know that an informal meeting was convened at lunchtime today (Sunday) to gather the Asian youth who were present today. 2 main outcomes: 1. We decided to create a list for organising among Asian youth on topics that we want to coordinate on as a region 2. We also had some non-youth NGOs from Asia at the meeting, who were interested to explore collaborating with Asian youth on topics of regional significance, and got their contacts Hence this list. Please circulate cop13asiayouth- subscribe (at) groups.takingitglobal.org widely to Asian youth you come across, or to those who may have such contacts. Note: asiayouth, not asianyouth (grammar sensitivity for non-English speaking backgrounds) OUR ACTION POINTS: • To actively grow our youth list by personally inviting and encouraging potentially relevant friends/contacts in our respective spheres to join up (and add relevant contacts into the GROUP excel list.) • To continue plugging tightly into the global youth group and work as one big team • To identify opportunities to work with other NGOs on regional topics - in consensus with global youth group I urge everyone to be really encouraging towards our Asian youth! There may be language barriers and capacity differences, so all the more our potential to go that little bit further to maximise the opportunity to increase under-represented Asians while we're in Asia. (sorry to keep banging on this, it just bears repeating.)
