Hey everyone,
Only five more days left until the Corporate Social Responsibility Live Chat
on TakingITGlobal! The Live Chat will be taking place here:
http://www.takingitglobal.org/connections/chat/ on Thursday February 21st at
15:00 GMT. We have some exciting speakers lined up, so I hope you'll be able
to make it!
Here is more information on the speakers:
*Kristle Calisto-Tavares, Founder and Community Innovator, Inspired Practice
(http://www.inspiredpractice.com/home.html )
In April 2007, Kristle Calisto-Tavares founded iNSPiRED PRACTiCE, an
enterprise with a mission to work with conscientious businesses and
organizations to interpret the concepts of sustainability into socially,
ecologically and economically profitable actions. Based in Winnipeg,
Manitoba, iNSPiRED PRACTiCE is pioneering the way to a new and more evolved
community by walking the talk and teaching others how to do the same. This
means demonstrating not only the feasibility but viability of an enterprise
that: contributes positively to the social fabric of our communities;
protects the integrity of our natural environment; and, generates meaningful
opportunities to support our economy. Kristle has developed a reputation for
incredible stamina, resourcefulness, and innovative leadership. Before
iNSPiRED PRACTiCE, Kristle was the founder of the University of Toronto
Environmental Resource Network for which an annual award was named in her
honour. This student-led and funded grant-giving network has proven vital to
maintaining the integrity of sustainability initiatives at Canada's largest
and most prominent university. Kristle will share with us her experiences as
a young eco-entrepreneur in moving the corporate social responsibility
agenda forward.

manages the Michigan, Massachusetts, and Mid Tier grants within the
Microsoft US Partners in Learning initiative. In September 2007 she received
a "Microsoft Education Excellence Award". Prior to Microsoft, she worked at
the US Chamber of Commerce as a senior program manager in workforce
development. A Michigan native, she worked at the regional and state levels
in Michigan on issues and programs related to economic and workforce
development. As a research associate at Michigan State University she wrote
about the development of The Young Spartan Program - a university-urban
school district partnership. She received her BA in English from the
University of Michigan, MA in Adult Learning from Michigan State University,
and Ed M in Technology in Education from Harvard University.
*Monika Gmucova, Projects Manager, AISEC International
Monika is currently engaged with the Global Office of AIESEC in the role of
Projects Manager. Her responsibilities include management of 4 global
conferences in Japan, Hungary, Brussels and Brazil, celebrating AIESEC's
60th anniversary. Monika had the chance to experience an incredible year in
the Middle East, leading an international team expanding the world's largest
youth organization to Jordan. The project has been incredibly successful,
impacting over 100 young people and setting up the basic framework for
sustainable development of the organization for the future. She demonstrated
excellent leadership and management skills in areas of strategic planning,
governance, finance, HR, external relations and corporate responsibility.
Living and working in the Middle East, Asia, Central & Western Europe, on
various international teams, has helped her develop cultural sensitivity and
ability to benefit from diverse environments. In the future she sees herself
working in sustainable development projects and implementation of social
responsible approach for organizations and individuals. Monika will be
sharing her experiences with the Corporate Responsibility Learning Network
