Dear All,
It was wonderful to meet so many of you in Mexico, and I hope that the
conference was productive and enjoyable for you.
This e-group will now become inactive. You may still view archives and
members by logging in at http://groups.takingitglobal.org/aids2008 .
However, the e-group will no longer be accepting postings because
there will no longer be a moderator on staff.
The e-group will be integrated into the e-group of the Global Youth
Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA, www.youthaidscoalition.org). Young
delegates of the 2002 Barcelona and 2004 Bangkok International AIDS
Conferences came together to form a global network to ensure that the
knowledge and skills gained by young people at the conferences
translated into action at the country and community level upon return
home. The network has grown into a global movement of 4,500 young
people and adult allies in over 150 countries worldwide.
The e-group, http://groups.takingitglobal.org/gyca, shares information
and discussions on HIV-related opportunities, information, research,
scholarships, funding, events, conferences, and more. The Bangkok
YouthForce and the Toronto YouthForce e-groups were both integrated
into GYCA once the conferences concluded.
Messages are approved only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, in a
daily digest mode. You have the option to receive emails individually
as they are posted, or just once a week in a single email, and you can
visit the link above and login to change your options.
You also have the option to opt-out of joining the e-group. All you
have to do is send a blank email to
gyca-unsubscribe (at) groups.takingitglobal.org from the same email you
signed up for TakingITGlobal with.

Era un gran placer conocer a muchos de ustedes en Mexico. Espero que
aprovechaste y disfrutaste la conferencia.
Este e-grupo ya no esta activo. Puedes ver los archivos y miembros
despues de ingresarte en http://groups.takingitglobal.org/aids2008 .
Pero desde hoy no vamos a aceptar mas mensajes porque se falta un
moderador.
Vamos a juntar este e-grupo a la Coalicion Global de Jovenes contra el
VIH/SIDA (GYCA por sus siglas en ingles, www.youthaidscoalition.org).
Delegados jovenes de las Conferencias Internacionales de SIDA formaron
la red mundial en 2002 y 2004 para asegurar que la informacion y
herramientos obtenidos durante la conferencia tranferieron a los
niveles de la comunidad y pais despues de regresar a casa. La red ha
crecido a un movimiento de unos 4,500 jovenes en mas de 150 paises.
El grupo, http://groups.takingitglobal.org/gyca, comparte informacion
sobre cosas relacionadas a VIH- oportunidades, recursos, becas,
fondos, eventos, conferencias, y mas. La FuerzaJoven de Bangkok y
Toronto fueron integrados a nuestro e-grupo despues de estas
conferencias se terminaron.
Mensajes son aprobados solamente en lunes, miercoles y viernes, en un
correo (digest diario). Si prefieres, puedes cambiar tus opciones en
la pagina del web, arriba, despues de ingresar en TakingITGlobal, para
recibir mensajes individualmente o solamente una vez cada semana.
Para hispanohablantes que no hablan ingles, estamos en proceso de
transferir nuestro e-grupo en espanol a TakingITGlobal. (Ahora esta en
yahoogroups y no esta parte de nuestra comunidad global.) Enviare mas
informacion sobre esto muy pronto!!! Ahora tiene que escribir a
coalicion_jovenes_sida-subscribe (at) yahoogroups.com.
Si no quieres juntar a la red, lo que tienes que hacer es enviar un
correo a GYCA-unsubscribe (at) groups.takingitglobal.org desde la misma
dirrecion del correo donde estas recibiendo este correo electronico.
