We are social change catalysts. We support sustainable solutions to global poverty while inspiring youth to create a better world.
A Vancouver, Canada based, youth run organization, Global Agents for Change counts over 100 volunteers and several major projects within our first year+ of operations. We are recognized for our entrepreneurial spirit and ability to have immediate meaningful impact.
We could use your help.
Global AFC Major programs:
1) Riding to Break the Cycle
Annual youth leadership and fundraising cycling trip from Vancouver, Canada to Tijuana, Mexico. 25 inspiring young people, 3000 kilometres, 7 weeks, and untold lives changed. All proceeds to microcredit initiatives in the developing world.
Expanding to Europe in 2009, applications late summer 2008.
2) University Microcredit Challenge
A campus based social entrepreneurship competition, building student run microcredit lending funds and helping families in the developing world escape the vicious cycle of poverty.
Pilot WRAPPED - over $5500 raised by SFU and UBC fall 2007!

3) Young Agent of Change Awards and Mentorship
Identifying 12-18 year olds acting as leaders in their local and global communities. Recognized at our annual gala, all receive mentorship and winners funding up to $750 to support their projects' growth.
Mentorship and ongoing events for all accepted youth. Have a project you need support with - get in touch!

4) Young Agents Program
We've begun speaking in schools about global citizenship and the inspiring work young people are doing and are capable of.
Our first high school clubs are set to roll this fall - want to get your school involved in changing the world? Let us know!
This program is in development and we need people to help create, and deliver these innovative programs.
5) The Catalyst Magazine
Global AFC's voice, and an opportunity to highlight all the amazing work young people and social entrepreneurs are doing to improve the world around them.
