Section 4: Policy formation for the benefit of countries and migrants alike
- Who do you feel is best placed to take the initiative on migration policy: the UN or national governments?
I do not think taking initiative at UN is apropriate. UN is a bit far from the the people because the problem is not the same in every country it varies. Example when a native travelled and that person dies they cannot contact UN but ruther the relatives and the national governments. So i think the national governments should do that.

- Is there a need for a common migration policy?
Yes there is the need for a common immigration policy since we are all human beings. No human is superman when you cut every body you will see blood. So every body must be treated as such.
- What kinds of policies should be developed to enhance the economic and social benefits of migration for national governments?
Every body should be seen as equals. Policies against human right, racism, social vices, peace and tranculity. Then opportunity should be created so that every body who is working in every country, their national gorvernments should benefit from that person's one tenth. This moneys should be deducted as taxes from the source as development levy and this amount should be sent to the national governments. My fear is, if this money will come at all and it will be put to good use by the person incharge over here.
- What socio-economic safety nets should be provided by national governments in the future to better secure the human rights of young migrants, their families and local communities?
This young immigrants are our own brothers and sisters who is gone out just to look for greener pastures this people use to be the bread winners of their various families so governments should widen its nets so that this people whether out side or inside they will be involved in development projects at home they can take part in elections at home even living outside, Proper record should be kept on them what they are doing and where they are. Our foreingn embassys should keep eyes on them. With this they will feel yes they belong to a society. Anytime they want to travell they should be assisted instead of prevent them.

- How can we ensure that the positive effects of youth migration outweigh the negative impact?
They need to be educated on dangers in travelling so that they will not enter before to realise that they took a wrong discission. Just like the way we marry. Without advice or experience we hide to do it later we feel sorry because how we think before setting off things use to become upside down. Then we finally go to join bad groups to get our daily bread. Is only some few who use to get things easy if God is on your side.
- Do you think that young people in your community have enough opportunities to participate in the debates surrounding migration?
I do not think so. Simply because they are ignorant about this type of stoff and they are a bit far away from it. And there is no body very clost to assist them energize them about this. That is why they fall easily to peoples tricks who use to deceive them to collect huge sum of money from them to run away.

- If not, what could be done to increase their involvement at both the local and the national level?
I believe a lot more will be eager to debate on such issues so they need to be introduce to this type of program. Once a while locally teachers can invite those who travel in the society to tell the young ones about ordeals in travelling. Then later this teachers can organize debate on this subject. Like; Is it good to have knowledge about travelling or is better to travell before you gain your own experience. To see the views of their students those will be for and those against. With such activities i believe students and young immigrants will be expose to a lot of advantages and disadvantages in travelling. Any way this is my view.
