	~~~~ Happy November to everyone! ~~~~ The leaves are falling, the wind is stirring, and our schedules are probably now more than ever in a whirlwind. Or at least I am guessing that's what it is since no one showed up for our last Youth Connect! Ahh well, we'll just have to try again. Dan and I have prepared the ultimate session where we all get to dialogue about real community issues that in the last get-together we've identified are important to us in our jobs, our neighborhoods, and our schools. We'll learn one way of talking through conflict and understanding where the other person is coming from. But this won't happen without YOUR involvement! So we're asking of you three things: 1) If you cannot make our next scheduled meeting November 13th, or any meeting on the 2nd Monday of the month, then please let us know. 2) If you have ideas on how to make the group better and/or want to step up and help brainstorm discussions and co-facilitate a session, let us know! 3) Lastly, if you are working with or know of any high school students who would be interested in: - talking about their experiences in their communities - learning leadership skills - connecting with their peers - finding a mentor - looking to develop their professional skills in facilitation and leadership work - or just want to talk about social and environmental solutions then they should know about Youth Connect!
