	1) We will take two polarizing issues that came out of our timeline activity and do an "Edges Exercise," where we use principles of non-violent communication to explore: - What tensions do you feel? [Situation] - What are the things the other group is doing (action-wise) that tell you they don't understand your perspective? [Observations] - What are the needs your group is trying to meet with this issue (refer to needs chart) ? [Needs] - What is a specific request you have of the other group to help you meet your needs -- 1 sentence statement of requests [Requests] *This is an effective tool that can be used to deal with controversial issues such as Redbud Woods, the noise ordinance, and bar closing times. 2) Someone will present the following on their project/organization: -an overview of the project -what's exciting about it -its impact on the community -1-2 ways the program could be improved -challenges it's currently facing and may face in the future -pose two questions to the group that can be explored about the project The rest of the group will then learn about the Constructive Feedback process and apply it to the presentation they just saw. -- Farah D.
