Subject: [greenleap] UNAA World Environment Day Awards 2008 - Call for Nominations
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing on behalf of the United Nations Association of Australia
(UNAA). Each year the UNAA supports World Environment Day through the
World Environment Day Awards. The World Environment Day Awards is a
national awards program which recognizes businesses, local
governments, organisations, community groups, individuals, schools
and the media whose work serves to protect, manage or restore the
environment.
Nominations for the United Nations Association of Australia World
Environment Day Awards 2008 are now open.
Please find attached information regarding the national UNAA World
Environment Day Awards 2008. Each year a number of organisations
assist the United Nations Association of Australia in publicizing our
annual national World Environment Day Awards program by distributing,
for free, our 'Call for Nominations' advertisement in their
newsletter, email, news, publication or upcoming event. I am writing
to seek similar support for the 2008 World Environment Day Awards.
The UNAA is a non-profit, non-government organisation which relies on
the support of organisations such as yours to make these Awards a
success.
Upon request l can provide you with electronic or hard copies of the
' Call for nominations' flyer, brochure, A4 or A3 poster and/or text
only documents. To ensure that you receive the information in time
for your publication, event or mail out, please provide a date
indicating when the requested materials should be submitted by.
If possible, please also send me a copy of any material containing
promotion of the Awards Program. I look forward to hearing from you
at your earliest convenience. Any assistance you are able to offer
publicizing the Awards to your networks would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Johanna Winterhager
