  PROJECT REPORT ON
GLOBAL YOUTH COALITION ON HIV/AIDS (GYCA) DELTA STATE CHAPTER’S RURAL OUTREACH PROJECT ON
UN-MDGS, ICT, GENDER MAINSTREAMING & HIV/AIDS
AT UGBOLU, OSHIMILI NORTH L.G.A. OF DELTA STATE, NIGERIA

On 12th March 2009, at about 12.45 noon, GYCA Team Left Asaba for Ugbolu and arrived by 1.30pm. Our arrival day was a market day and almost all our participants were at the market.
Between 2.15 t0 3pm while the GYCA Team was waiting for our host and participants, the resident pastor of Christ chosen church of God international, Ugbolu Branch (Rev. John Adaghara) came in, he provided lodging accommodation for GYCA team for the 3 days the workshop lasted.
Day one started at about 4.30pm against 3.30pm because most of the participants were at the market and was called back from the market, at about 7.35pm the activities of day one came to an end with about 11 young persons in attendance whose age range from 10-19yrs and most of them were in secondary school.
Day two recorded a significant increase in the attendance of participants as it rose from 11 to 24 young persons, this was so because each participant committed to bring one of their friend to the next day’s training.
Day three witnessed a sharp drop in attendance; this was so because all the participants attended an all night prayer service, so as a result some of the participants could not turn up for the next day’s training, due to fatigue from the all night prayer session.

For 3 days the young persons learnt new skills while participating in seminar, group works, interactive sessions, peer education, practical demonstration and role-playing sessions, they learnt some new concepts.
May we use this medium to express our gratitude to the following for organizations for their various logistic supports with respect to technical aid and provision of BCC/IEC instructional Materials, they include
