Subject: [YES-Kenya] OAYouth Kenya
Hello,
Allow me to introduce the Organisation of African Youth(OAYouth); a
non-governmental organization which aims at the pursuit of the following in
Africa: Empower African young people, and reduce their apathy in African
Politics and policy-making; HIV/AIDS intervention, long-term reduction of
poverty through entrepreneurship and innovative programmes, volunteerism, crime
and prostitution amongst youth; combat environmental threats; reduce conflict &
train youth to promote social equality, democracy & human rights with a view
to
have a future African leadership that has conscience.
As an umbrella of individual young people in Africa, OAYouth is the perennial
network of Africa's young people encouraging common thinking and understanding
on issues affecting the continent. We believe that young people in all
countries are both a major human resource for development and key agents for
social change, economic development and technological innovation. By enabling
more effective participation of young people we can benefit from their energy,
idealism, unique perspectives and innovative and creative ideas.
OAYouth is the ultimate vindication that African youth can be advocates for
democracy, peace and human rights and a major contributor to the future
development of the continent. Please find more information in our website
www.oayouth.org. You can also join our Facebook group.
OAYouth is currently working on establishing a strong Chapter here in Kenya.
We
are recruiting young leaders to volunteer as members of the National Committee
which will be spearheading the activities of the organization in the country.
For more details and if you are interested in been part of the team feel free
to contact me in the email below. Provide details about yourself and your work.
Kindest Regards,
George Ndungu,
OAYouth Secretary for International Affairs and Kenya Representative.
