Peers,
We did it. We wrapped up CSD17, after two weeks of frustration and sweat and
tears, and also after two weeks of laughter and sharing and amazing
conversations. We're all taking a breather now (and I'm officially in
quarantine, so I don't have much of a choice), but we're also waiting to
jump back in.
I, for one, am taking my leave from the official CSD Children and Youth
Major Group. I would like to salute the Interim Co-ordinators (Alex, Melody,
Alicia, and Ben) who will be slogging it out to install the new Steering
Committee, and give them all the luck and support they need.
The C&Y has been amazing in catalysing so much to happen, and I want that to
continue. Most of us have not had the opportunity to sit down and talk,
owing to how hard we've been working; let us try continue our interactions.
As I mentioned to another youth: I want to know who you are, what it is you
do, what it is you will do, and what it is we will do.
We too need to translate policy to action.
