  Hi,

United Nations Development programe Youth Climate Change Project Members

Greetings from Baraka back to me i am okay as well from the key message this HDR about climate change which is very urgent project my contribution is from the data given that poor suffer most from the climate change and will suffer more and 2.6 billion lives in poverty unable to meet their basic needs these people are likely to be the impact of dangerous climate change.

By the way the report tell us that people are already suffering as a result of climate change, the report add that the climate change as serious threat to our ability to meet MDGs which is target on eradication of extreme poverty by the end of 2015, After reading a report and different stories now from my country especially within my City Dar Es Salaam l confront new reality in the area of Environmentalism; Is it running riot?

"The poor, hungry and the diseased cannot be expected to put the preservation of their environment above the struggle to survive this every day. For them it is not quality life that is at stake, itself" Benjamin W. Mkapa former preisdent of Tanzania: Survival is the poor's priority Sept 2002.

In Tanzania especially to those growing cites like Dar Es Salaam, Tanga, Mbeya and Mwanza the enviromental movement is quickly gaining supoort largely within the context of well drummed -up- logic that the gains to human health from strict enforcement of environmental standard and clamping down on polluter , far of weighed the benefit of industrialization. At the same time however for a developing economy that increasingly rilies on industrialisation as the beddrock of economc growthof tax revenues to support the social service delively, inferstructure system and development as well as job creation.

The logic here is about the gain human health requires a dispassionate and balance examination, otherwise Tanzanias may pride them selves of being very grren but the same time very poor and more tha 87% is lies in extreme poverty. In other words the centrality of balance is imprerative in pursuing and enforcing policies that promoted and protect the environment whilslt enabling industrisation to deepen.

The lastly view holding that environmental sustainablilty needs a mindset rooted in and sensitive to environmental to environment issues, A forceful approch to enforcing environment safegoud is more likely not succed whislty greater use of education about the danger of environment degration and its cause at industry level on the other hand has better chance of success in protting a new environmental friendlly production process. This will help to reduce the number of peolpe who suffer most from climate change as we see most of them are poor.

With Best Regards
