GNP+ on behalf of the LIVING 2008 Partnership is proud to announce the 12th International Conference for People Living with HIV, LIVING 2008: The Positive Leadership Summit.
The Summit will be held in Mexico City, from July 31st to August 1, 2008, just prior to the 17th International AIDS Conference AIDS 2008. It is expected that there will be approximately 300 delegates to LIVING 2008. Being a conference for people living with HIV, all the delegates will be living with HIV.
As it is recognized that many of the delegates will be working in a volunteer capacity in community level organizations, the LIVING 2008 Partnership has set up an extensive scholarship programme together with the International AIDS Society (IAS).
Scholarships will cover both the LIVING 2008 as well as the AIDS 2008 conference.
Application for scholarships to participate in the LIVING2008 is open through the AIDS 2008 International Scholarships Programme.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCEDURE OFFICIALLY CLOSES ON FEBRUARY 26, 2008.
The selection process is based on the online application form where people living with HIV will be asked whether they are interested in attending the LIVING 2008 and will need to identify their objective in attending.
The LIVING 2008 Partnership, in collaboration with the IAS, is committed to ensure transparent scholarship guidelines to allow for an equitable delegate scholarship selection process that aims for a diverse mix of delegates and accounts for such important issues as gender, geographical location, marginalised populations, and experience working in HIV/AIDS.
