Dear friends:
From January 30, 2006 to February 11, 2006 TakingITGlobal invites you to join other youth from across Canada and around the world as they connect to actively discuss and voice their views on the issue of ending poverty and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
In affiliation with the Canadian International Development Agency's (CIDA) International Development week TakingITGlobal is hosting a week-long online campaign, Voice Your Views. This is an opportunity to discuss MDGs with experts from various international organizations such as the United Nations Millennium Project and youth that have been working on MDG related activities in the field.

ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS
At the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000, 189 Heads of State and Government pledged to work together to create a better world. They signed the Millennium Declaration which promises to free men, women and children form the dehumanizing conditions of extreme poverty and make the right to development a reality for all. They adopted eight Millennium Development Goals (MDG), committing rich and poor countries to a global partnership and to eradicate extreme poverty by 2015.
