La Commission de lInformation et de la Communication (CIC), commission
technique permanente de la Fédération Mondiale des Organisations
dIngénieurs (FMOI) organise à Tunis, le Vendredi 17 Juin 2005 un
séminaire intitulé « Knowledge Economy, Knowledge Sharing, Knowledge
Management », qui est officiellement inscrit comme événement préparatoire
à la seconde phase du Sommet Mondial sur la Société de lInformation
(programme prévisionnel en fichier attaché).
Ce séminaire comporte également une session de présentation du rapport
de la Task Force n°10 de lONU sur le rôle de la science et la
technologie et en particulier les technologies de lInformation et des
Communication dans la concrétisation des objectifs du Millénaire pour le
Développement.
Il est à rappeler que la CIC, sous légide de la FMOI a déjà organisé
dautres activités au Brésil et en Espagne dans le cadre de la
contribution à la 2ème phase de la SMSI ,et ce en plus des activités
organisées dans le cadre du processus de la première phase du SMSI dont
on cite en particulier un congrès Mondial sur « Engineering and Digital
Divide » et un événement parallèle au Sommet de Genève sous forme de
conférence intitulée « Engineering, the Knowledge Society ».

Announcement
The committee on Information and Communication (CIC), a standing
committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO),
will organize on June 17th 2005 a seminar about Knowledge Economy,
Knowledge Sharing, Knowledge Management. This seminar will take place in
Tunis, and is officially considered as a preparatory event for the World
Summit on Information Society (tentative program attached).
It includes a presentation session of the UN Task Force Nbr 10 report on
the role of science and technology, and more precisely the ICTs in the
achievement of MDGs.
WFEO-CIC has already organized other activities in Brazil and Spain as
Engineers contribution to the second phase of WSIS. It also organized
preparatory events to the first phase such as the world congress on
Engineering and Digital Divide, and a parallel event to the Geneva
Summit (conference) on Engineering, the Knowledge Society.
