  This xmas season was full of pomp, and pageantry and an ancient Nigerian town called Calabar. Calabar is a port-town located in south-eastern part of Nigeria.
Clabar played host to thousands of Nigerians this xmas season, due to its festival called the calabar festival.
It was such a colorful affair,with such beautiful combination of culture and modernization.There was a lot of local dishes, and a lot of sea food to eat.
Calabar is a town which is known in history because of Mary Slessor, a white missionary woman, who settled in that town after the slave trade era.
She brought about the abolition of the killing of twins.
The festival which started last year christmas, was a huge success, and now it is a big tourist attraction within and outside Nigeria
