Welcome to Rumi Project at *Youthama Global* (Youth Assistance & Mainstream Activities Global)
Dear all members,
In celebration of the 800th anniversary of the legacy of Sufi Mystic, Poet and Scholar Mevlana Jelalludin Mohammad Balkhi Rumi- UNESCO has named 2007 International Year of Rumi.
Celebrations will take place in the countries where Rumi lived and died - Afghanistan, Persia (Iran) and Turkey, as well as world wide.
In this regards, Youthama Global has initiated to arrange a project called Rumi, to in turn celebrate the UNESCO international year of Rumi among the people and youth of Afghanistan and worldwide.
As you have been selected as a member in this project, we would like to see what you will contribute for the Rumi Project. We may need your assistance in finding resources related to Mevlana Jelalludin Mohammad Balkhi Rumi, or if you could develop PowerPoint presentations, Flash presentations, directing or producing films, or work arts related to Mevlana and other assistance such as providing or coordination in fund raising, space, and other arrangements for this project. at the mid of this project we will arrange a live event for celebration of 800th anniversary of Rumi and we will present on screen the best PowerPoint presentations, Flash Presentations, or video clips and work arts we will receive until that time. And we will nominate the top ten of each for 2007 Rumi Awards.
You may be the author, designer, producer, director, or painter of one of those top ten, so, please submit your entire PowerPoint presentations, flash, video clips or work art you may already have, or you are able to work on it as soon as possible. I hope you do not miss the chance, and work as hard as you can on your presentations. You can submit up to 20 presentations on your own name, we will confirm the closing date of submission and the date of event latter as the project is under the planning stage yet.
This is to mention that in the concerned event we will invite participants from the Kabul University, the American University, Ministries of Afghanistan, United Nations, other International NGOs, and other academic individuals and organizations.
We hope to have your significant support and contribution in this project and we wish you stay with us up to the end of this important project.
Please feel free to forward our announcement to all your friends, family and your entire contact list to invite them to join this project, it dose no matter where someone stay, what matters is what some one can contribute, people form all over the world are encouraged and are welcome to apply for membership in this project.
The interested individuals, groups, and organizations who would like to join this project should have to send me their TIG username, to be added to the project as TIG member, or they can simply send an e-mail to Rumi-subscribe (at) groups.takingitglobal.org to be added on the milling list as non-TIG member.
