Sujet: Wanted: Volunteers for Centre of Alternative Technology Projects - Good CV Opportunity
Envoyé: Apr 26th, 2007 - 04:56:08
Pièces-jointes: [Icône de fichier attaché] untitled-1.2

  Hey folks,

Sorry to spam you yet again, but this is really important. Could you
please let me know asap if you are interested so as I can arrange for
Richard to come.

The following e-mail is from Richard Hawkins - rich (at) thegreenshed.co.uk
- of the Centre of Alternative Technology and will be great opportunity
to gain experience and a CV opportunity if you are interested.

Hi Andrew,
My name is Richard Hawkins and I'm currently working with the Centre
for Alternative Technology.

Tim Helweg-Larsen has a few contact in your Go Green network and advised
me to contact you regarding CAT recruiting some of your very talented
members to assist in our political/media campaign to promote our new UK
energy strategy ('Redefining Energy'). We're looking for 3-4 volunteer
coordinators in various areas (media, politics, grassroots) that could
dedicate a decent chunk of time (2 weeks - 3months!) to a very worthy
cause; that would also happen to look great on a CV!

(There is no salary for a good, but long-winded reason that I can explain
another time.)

The launch of the strategy is taking place at our 3rd Annual Sustainable
Science Symposium which is growing in size every day! We currently have
invitations signed by the Welsh representative of every party going out to
prominent research bodies speakers.

2 days after the symposium (7th-8th July) we are also presenting the
strategy at the AGM of the All Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group in
Westminster. I've put together a campaign that involves a lot more than
this and would love to come and make a short presentation to your group on
CAT, the strategy and the positions available. We'd like to do it sooner
rather than later as we're keen to sort the "keystones" that will enable
us to>> mobilise organise our huge resource base (8,000 dedicated and
very well>> connected members etc.).

What do you think?
Richard Hawkins
