Description:
Pakistan has been devastated by the worst floods in 80 years, killing at least 1600 people, and affecting over 13 million more. The flooding has hit the second poorest province in Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly NWFP), the hardest, leaving people affected more vulnerable due to lack of resources. The death toll is rising, and the world has been embarrassingly slow to react. According to a statement by the UN, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Floods have affected more people than the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake, combined.
