Dear all,
1. Do you feel the views of young people are sufficiently included in designing public policy? What are the barriers to participation?
I believe that young people construct their public policies. However, its implementations is still little known or accepted by society itself. All young people needs a cause to be developed as a human being. This holistic view is therefore enough to be understood as public policy.
The obstacles (at least in Brazil): do not believe in the potential of youth; do not understand the importance of education for youth; do not provide the necessary support for development.
2. What steps can governments take to facilitate greater youth participation?
I believe that governments should build mechanisms that approximates young people in the applications of policies of the state. Recognizing youth as an important instrument of change.
Regards,
