The [Nigeria S.T.A.R Community Empowerment Strategy Campaign] is a not-for-profit network of facilitator’s, trainers and researchers who employ “Stepping Stones and Reflect (STAR) and Right Based Approach (RBA) Methodology to community development. We are passionately committed to work with communities’ and strengthen their participation and action by providing facilitation, workshops, training resources, research and other learning opportunities to clarify their purpose and develop plans that will enable them to take joint action and focus their energies so as to achieve an effective community growth and a sustainable development outcome in Nigeria.
The network exists to;
• look at ways of strengthening communication and information exchange, and creating space for dialogue
• develop cooperation in building wider alliances and partnerships
• develop practical cooperation through sharing or combining the resource we already have for example, information and expertise.
• provide guidance on effective method of lobbying or campaigns and more extensive databases
• develop specific joint projects and cooperation on concrete action
