ACS International Peace Prize Contest

Dear Friends, Please circulate widely among your students and friends.
ACS International Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the ACS International Peace Prize contest for students aged 14-18*.
The Prize will be awarded to the student whose substantial work promotes understanding of different philosophies and cultures, and instills respect for people, their work, the environment, and the advancement of global harmony.
Applications may include, but are not limited to, documentation of work accomplished on a specific project (community service, peace corps type project, inner city project etc.) or work completed on a topic of relevance to the advancement of peace (essay, art work, video, research paper).
Application forms, contest rules, and further information are available below.
The ACS Peace Prize will consist of £1,000, a medal, and a trip to an award ceremony in England.
* ACS Students are not eligible for this contest. A separate contest and application are available through the Head of School's Office.
1 September 2007 All entries must be received by ACS.
15 September 2007 The winner will be notified.
October 2007 The presentation to the Peace Prize winner will take place at ACS Cobham.
