Launched last year, the International Law Student Division (“ILSD”) is comprised of those chapters of the National Black Law Students Association that are not located in the United States. There are several benefits to joining the ILSD. First, you will be able to create and sustain relationships and receive support from other black law students and future leaders around the world. You will have a forum in which to educate at least 6,000 American law students and politicians about the situation in your country. You will also have the opportunity to participate in all NBLSA events, including conventions, academic retreats, national competitions, community service, communication forums, directories, and job fairs. This year, we will have a Dean’s Roundtable at our National Convention which will include discussion about the matriculation of international law students to American law schools. We encourage you to navigate the NBLSA webpage for information on all of these programs.
Individuals or groups may join the ILSD by completing the Membership Application and the Statement of Acknowledgement of the Bylaws which can be accessed on this page. In the case of financial hardship, the National Executive Board may waive the charter costs upon request.
